I started a job in January working for Go Experience (check me out on the Company page!), a company who help arrange events for customers, and have a range of activities and programs in the Helsinki area. I am currently developing a new online system for them for their clients, but I have had problems with a software issue. Yesterday I had the company boss over trying to sort the problem out but we didn’t get anywhere.
Today a brand new Windows laptop was delivered to me to erradicate my problem. Super!
Our new home for our photos.
The weekend at Himos was awesome. We fitted in a whole day skiing on Saturday, squeezing in as many of the 21 sloped as we could, including a black one (the hardest type) twice. The triplets had two lessons and were bombing it down the kiddies slope without assistance by the end. The cottage we stayed at was only 200m from the slopes. We had a lovely view of the Northern slopes from the lounge window. Dexter had a good weekend out and about - he was outside most of Saturday making loads of trips between the cottage and the slopes. We had a sauna and a fire and a drying machine, all essentials for skiing!
Next year the plan is to go to the Alps with Milja’s granddad who makes the trip to the same resort every year.
You can now buy my comic book online through Zum Teufel, a comic shop in Turku, Finland.
Milja came back yesterday from her extended stay in Cape Town. She had extra time in the sun, and beaded and whatnot. Dexter was very happy to see her!
Today we are going off on a ski weekend with Laura and the triplets. We can’t remember the resort, but it’s a few hours drive away. Milja and I haven’t skiid for nearly two years, so it will be a lot of fun to spend a weekend on the slopes.
I had my exam week this past week and the three I had went well. I am back to usual lessons on Monday, starting my final Period this year. Only 7 more weeks until the summer!
It has snowed in the past 3 days I have been in Finland. Yesterday there was a lot of very fine snowfall and last night there was another downpour which has covered everything in about 10cm of white powder. This Winter has been the warmest winter in Finland ever, but there is still time for a lot of snow (and fun for Dexter :) )
I'm back home from a wonderful trip to Cape Town. I am tanned and refreshed and now revising for my exams next week. However, what with Dexter roaming around, the Blues ice hockey game on TV, and being quite tired, I am progressing quite slowly.
